CHAPTER 01 — ETHOS

Why VAMP exists.

Boudoir photography spent twenty years being one thing. We thought it could be another.

Most boudoir studios in the UK lean into the same aesthetic — soft pinks, lace draped over everything, white-room lighting, romance-novel cliches. There's nothing wrong with it; it's just not what we wanted to make.

VAMP is for women whose taste runs in another direction. Who have tattoos and don't want them edited out. Who like their portraits dark and dramatic rather than light and dreamy. Who'd rather look dangerous than delicate.

That's the whole brief. Modern boudoir for the alternative woman. Moody, confident, unapologetic. Studio shoots that feel more like a magazine editorial than a wedding album.

And because we believe great photography shouldn't be gatekept by ridiculous prices, we've kept VAMP sessions accessible — the entry session is £399, fully edited images included. No upsell, no "session fee" trap, no extra costs after the shoot.

CHAPTER 02 — THE PHOTOGRAPHER

Behind
the camera.

Every VAMP shoot is photographed and edited by Chrissy Sparks — an award-winning, internationally published photographer with over a decade of full-time portrait experience.

Chrissy founded VAMP because she wanted to shoot the boudoir work that her own taste pulled her towards: harder light, deeper shadows, a more cinematic feel, more attitude. Magazine editorial energy in a one-on-one studio setting.

She also does every edit herself. Your images don't get handed off to a junior retoucher in a different time zone — Chrissy retouches every shot personally, which is why turnaround is around two weeks rather than a few days. That's the trade-off, and clients consistently say it's worth it.

CHAPTER 04 — THE WARDROBE

A £250k wardrobe.

Most boudoir studios ask you to bring your own outfits. We don't. The VAMP wardrobe carries over a quarter of a million pounds' worth of lingerie, corsets, gowns, harnesses, leather pieces, rock chick staples, pin up classics and statement outerwear.

Sizes from UK 6 to 26. Bras 32A to 44G. Hundreds of pairs of shoes, racks of accessories, gloves, jewellery, and a full prop wall. You'll have more options than you can use.

Almost every shot you see in the gallery features outfits from the studio wardrobe. You bring yourself. We bring everything else.

Four non-negotiables.

01 — ALL FEMALE

Always.

Photographer, hair, makeup, styling — every person you'll meet on shoot day is a woman. No exceptions, ever.

02 — ONE CLIENT

No double bookings.

The studio runs one shoot at a time. You'll never overlap with another client. The space is yours from arrival to wrap.

03 — IMAGES INCLUDED

No surprise costs.

Your images are part of the package price. There's no high-pressure image purchase meeting after your shoot. What you book is what you receive.

04 — YOUR CALL

Public or private.

Your photos are yours. We never share without permission, and we'll never feature you on social media, the gallery or marketing unless you specifically agree.
